POSCO Center, Wangjing Beijing · Office Area Energy Retrofit

Published: 2026-09-21

POSCO Center is a landmark twin-tower office development in Beijing’s Wangjing business district (Tower A approx. 155 m, Tower B approx. 120 m). Its curved glass curtain wall admits direct sunlight, causing marked temperature swings and glare on the upper office floors. ESEC One-Way View-Through Energy-Saving Window Curtains were installed in the office areas without altering the facade. Interior light is now noticeably softer and window-side zones no longer radiate heat, while city views such as Wangjing SOHO stay clearly visible.

Retrofit Highlights

  • No facade alterations on curtain-wall buildings — interior-side installation with zero impact on the exterior or property management
  • Insulation without losing the view: city vistas preserved, direct glare eliminated
  • Even light at window-side desks and reception areas, no more radiant heat, higher comfort
  • Virtually no auxiliary shading needed by day — both lighting and cooling energy use fall
