On January 24–25, 2026, the annual Alumni Economy Ecosystem Conference and the semifinals of the Second Alumni Economy Outstanding Project Competition concluded successfully in Beijing’s Fengtai District. This industry gathering of entrepreneurial talent from across the country was dubbed a “showdown of giants in the startup world” for its fierce competition — more than 1,000 applications screened round by round down to a final 68 — and the on-site commentary of Mr. Li Guoqing, founder of Dangdang and a well-known entrepreneur, raised the event’s professional caliber even higher. As a technology innovation representative deeply engaged in the building energy-efficiency track, Zhongke Energy Consumption Control (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. stood out with its hard-core technical strength and innovative solutions, drawing broad attention from alumni and investment institutions on site and setting a new development compass for 2026 through industry exchange.

An Unprecedented Event: Elite Minds Gather to Talk Innovation

The competition was hosted by the Alumni Economy Service Center, supported by institutions including the organizing committee of the China Alumni Economy 50 Forum, and co-organized by more than 20 regional alumni association alliances and over 100 university alumni associations, bringing together more than 370 elite alumni representatives. The 68 semifinal projects that emerged from over 1,000 applications spanned frontier fields such as AI, new energy, smart manufacturing and healthcare, competing fiercely through a format of “7-minute pitch plus expert commentary,” while an innovative “audience interactive scoring” mechanism let every attendee take part in the judging, making the atmosphere electric. As honorary chairman of the competition’s organizing committee, Mr. Li Guoqing offered incisive, balanced commentary on the competing projects, drawing on decades of entrepreneurial experience and sharp business insight, providing founders with valuable strategic guidance and pushing the atmosphere to a peak.

ESEC Breaks Through with Hard-Core Technology as Its Energy-Saving Innovation Draws Attention

In this high-calibre competition, ESEC presented its flagship product — the insulating view-through shading window curtain system — taking a precise position in the “building energy efficiency plus green, low-carbon” track with solid technical advantages that made it a focus of attention. Using proprietary intellectual property, the product can improve a curtain wall’s U-value by up to 30 percent and its solar heat gain coefficient by more than 65 percent, achieving overall annual energy savings of 30%–50 percent. It is also B1-rated flame retardant and formaldehyde-free, and has already been applied in more than one hundred curtain wall performance upgrade projects, including at China Development Bank; after installation, indoor temperatures drop by 3–4 °C, a striking energy-saving result.

As a technology innovation enterprise deeply engaged in glass curtain wall insulation, central air-conditioning energy efficiency, and energy-saving services and contracted operation for thermal power plant boilers, ESEC now serves customers across the country and in overseas markets, including central state-owned enterprise headquarters, internet technology companies and financial institutions. Taking part in this competition was not only a showcase of technical strength but also an important opportunity for the brand to reach a wider audience — through the alumni economy ecosystem platform built by the event, the company held in-depth exchanges with elite alumni from many industries and with investment institutions. Many attendees showed strong interest in the application scenarios and market value of the insulating view-through shading window curtain system, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Anchoring New Goals for 2026, Setting Off Again to Surpass the Past

The successful conclusion of the competition was both a showcase of results and a fresh start with renewed energy. Looking back on 2025, ESEC advanced steadily in technology R&D and market expansion, with growing market recognition for its core products; standing at the new starting point of 2026, the company will take this competition as an opportunity to dig deeper into the building energy-efficiency track, keep iterating on its core technologies and product solutions, and further expand cooperation opportunities within the alumni economy ecosystem.

“This competition showed us the innovative vitality of fellow entrepreneurs and, even more, the powerful cohesion of the alumni economy,” the ESEC team said, adding that in 2026 it will continue to “roll up its sleeves and press ahead,” empowering green offices and low-carbon buildings with even stronger technology and better service, achieving all-round breakthroughs in technological innovation, market expansion and win-win cooperation, surpassing its 2025 results and contributing even more to the industry’s low-carbon transition and the high-quality development of the alumni economy.
