01Huilang shares its origin with Huineng, using a Low-E transmissive metallised functional fabric, in grey with lower transmittance: 87% total solar reflectance, 95% infrared reflectance, 99%+ UV blocking rate and only 3% visible-light transmittance.
02A low transmittance also delivers three things: direct sunlight is sharply cut and screens no longer glare; from outside the interior is almost invisible by day, so privacy comes naturally; and carpets, wood veneers and exhibits are protected from light ageing.
03Saves more than 60% of the cost of replacing the curtain wall glass — no removal of existing windows, typical spaces completed in one day — with a payback of typically 2–4 years: the hotter and sunnier the building, the faster it pays back.
