A three-layer film, two mounting options and a day-night raise-and-lower strategy — plus laboratory, on-site and full-year simulation data that show what an energy-saving window curtain can do for an existing glass curtain wall.

Formaldehyde compliant with Table 2 of JG/T 254-2015, a B1(B-s1, d0) flame-retardant rating and interior-side installation that touches no structure — all three health and safety metrics are backed by third-party test report numbers that property managers can verify directly.

Using an open, reproducible method: the material reflects 88% of solar radiant heat, whole-window U-value improves 26%–50% and SC is 0.14. For a 1000 m2 west-facing standard floor, annual electricity savings typically run into tens of thousands of yuan, and all three payback variables are controllable.

A measured timeline for a west-facing office before and after retrofit: 88% of solar radiant heat reflected back outdoors, the AC set point raised about 3 degrees C with comparable comfort, winter room temperature up about 2 degrees C, and blackout blinds no longer needed.

ESEC One-Way View-Through Energy-Saving Window Curtain installed on the interior side of the glass: whole-window U-value 3.0 to 2.5 W/(m2.K), SHGC 0.9 to 0.3, and a 35% cut in overall energy use measured by the project team. The full retrospective — no glass replaced, no curtain wall touched, floor-by-floor installation.

Heat transfer coefficient (U-value), shading coefficient (SC) and 88% total solar reflectance — all three figures come from third-party testing by a national building research institute, with traceable report numbers. Understand them, and you can evaluate any curtain-wall energy retrofit proposal.

A Qingdao office tower on the coast: west-facing curtain wall, salt-laden sea air, cold damp winters. No glass replacement and no facade work — an interior-side window curtain brought the temperature by the window down 3–5 degrees C and cut annual energy use by 30%–50%.

A sealed balcony turns into a heat trap in Chengdu's humid summers. No film and no heavy curtains — an interior-side window curtain reflects 88% of solar radiant heat while keeping the light and the view.

Structural safety, the original window's warranty, programme, fit-out coordination, restoration at lease exit and fire-safety approval — six concerns that all point to one standard: is the solution reversible? Four questions tell you whether it is genuinely non-destructive.
